Day 1: Worship with God

  • Opening the Heart: Take a moment of silence. Pray, “Father, you are near me. Help me open my heart to you and listen to you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

  • Music: So Will I (100 Billion X)

  • Scripture: Psalm 98 Use Lectio Divina as a guide to read, reflect, meditate, listen, and respond to God’s word.

  • Confession: Based on the scripture confess who God is. Confess anything that God has shown you about yourself, asking forgiveness for any sins.

  • Prayer: Prayer of St. Francis

Day 2: Worship with Others

Look for an opportunity to go through today’s worship practices with someone else.

  • Opening the Heart: Look at God’s creation. Pray, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me into the way everlasting. Amen.” (Psalm 139:23-24)

  • Scripture: Colossians 1:9-13 Use Lectio Divina as a guide to read, reflect, meditate, listen, and respond to God’s word.

Day 3: Worship with Others

Look for an opportunity to go through today’s worship practices with someone else.

  • Prayer: The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13)

Day 4: Worship in Life

  • Opening the Heart: Take a moment of silence. Pray, “God as the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Amen.” (Psalm 42:1-2a)

  • Music: Oceans

  • Scripture: Matthew 6:25-33 Use Lectio Divina as a guide to read, reflect, meditate, listen, and respond to God’s word.

  • Confession: Based on the scripture confess who God is. Confess anything that God has shown you about yourself, asking forgiveness for any sins.

  • Prayer: Psalm 148

Day 5: Worship in Life

  • Opening the Heart: Take a moment of silence. Ephesians Prayer

  • Music: Instrument for Noble Purpose

  • Scripture: Colossians 3:12-17, 22-4:1 Note: Paul is not advocating slavery, but redefining a cultural reality in light of Christ.
